Is my dog suitable?

After successfully completing the Foundation, Consolidation and Graduation Behaviour Training classes, you have the option to train your dog in Obedience Trialling and compete in trials.

When are classes held?

Trialling classes are currently offered on
Wednesday mornings 11:15am - 12:15pm
Thursday evening 8:00 - 9:00pm
Sunday morning 10:45am - 11:45am
The classes are aligned with the Behaviour Training terms, please check the calendar for dates.

How do I get involved?

To attend classes, you will need to become a member of the club.
If you haven't attended the behaviour training classes please email our office to see if your dog is suitable.

In order to compete in trials, you will need to join your state canine control body (Dogs ACT or Dogs NSW), and register your dog with them.  Any dog can be registered for obedience trials: your dog's parents, and whether he/she is purebred or not, doesn't matter.

What is Obedience Trialling?

Obedience trialling is one of the oldest dogs sports and helps you build an even stronger bond with your furry companion.

It is a formal sport with five competition levels, and takes time, consistency and commitment to achieve.  The rewards include a loving, well-behaved dog who is a pleasure to have by your side, whether at home or in a range of other social situations.

Our classes provide a friendly setting for you and your dog to learn, and it's never to late to start, no matter whether you have a puppy or a mature dog.

Be warned: dog sports can become addictive!
