ACT Companion Dog Club

Club membership is open to anyone over 11 years of age. Each membership covers a whole family living in the same residence, whether that is one or many people. All members listed on the family's application form and who are over 16 years old are eligible to vote at Club elections.

Payment:

When joining or renewing your membership, we offer 3 payment methods:

   Please reference your surname and phone number then scan & email /post/bring your completed form to the Club with a copy of your dog’s vaccination certificate(s).

   NB: If your payment doesn’t reference your surname and phone number,we may have difficulty in tracking your payment. Please keep a copy of your transaction receipt in case of difficulties.

2. In cash brought in to the club. (Office hours 10am – 1pm Mon – Fri + during Obedience training hours)
3. By cheque made out to the ACT Companion Dog Club (bring or Post to the club )

Current Fees - Effective 1st September 2011

There is a joining fee paid just for initial membership (nb:if your membership lapses for more than 6 months then the joining fee will again apply). An annual subscription is payable for each family/single and an annual training fee for each dog's training activity which includes Obedience, Agility, DWD and Flyball classes. For DWD classes, the activity fee covers any handler who may have 2 dogs training as a 'brace' (2 dogs performing at the same time) in a single class. A fee also applies if you just want access to the grounds to exercise your dog. The activity fee (whether Agility, Flyball, DWD or Obedience) entitles the handler to attend a single class per week in that activity.

Subscriptions are renewable every 12 months starting from the month you first joined (i.e. if you joined in February 2009, your membership will be due again in February 2010).

Note: these fees cover you for a full year of classes. For example, to enrol one dog for Obedience as a new member would cost you $225.00 for your first year ($50 + $100 + $75). A year consists of 5 terms of 8 weeks (40 classes) so that represents a very reasonable $5.63 per class and in subsequent years, provided your membership does not lapse, the cost comes down to less than $5.00 per class!
